Our Story

Joey and I met 9 years ago in highschool. It was young love but it has grown to be so much more than that over the years. We have been together for just over 8 years now and have lived together for almost 3 years. On 03/25/10 Joey asked me to marry him. He just recently got our boat fixed so we decided to take it out after he got off work. We got out on the water a little after five to ride around, watch the sunset, and enjoy being out on the boat. We both love being out on the water! We took Ace (our almost 2 year old American Bulldog baby) with us. It was his first time out on the boat so of course I had my camera with me. We cruised around for awhile and stopped at a couple different islands to let Ace run around and take pictures. Little did I know that the next island would be where Joey would propose! We got off on the island to take Ace for a walk. Joey had the ring in his pocket and the box in his hand (I did not notice the box lol). He was trying to find a way to give the box to Ace without me noticing. He got the perfect opportunity when we saw dolphins by the boat. As I was watching for them to come above water again, Joey put the ring box in Ace's mouth. Ace walked over to me and dropped it at my feet. I asked "what's that?" Joey told me he didn't know and to pick it up. I picked it up and opened it and there was nothing inside. I turned around to Joey getting the ring out of his pocket and on one knee asking me to marry him. I can't explain how happy I was at that moment. I can't imagine it any other way. It was absolutely perfect and I am such a lucky girl. I can not wait to marry my bestfriend on 10/22/10!!
